Ohio has begun taking reservations for its stimulus-funded rebate program for energy-efficient appliances, according to a report in Columbus Business First.
The rebate program’s Web site, ohioappliancerebate.com, opened up at 8 a.m. for applications. The state has said it’s equipped to issue more than 89,000 rebates ranging from $100 to $250 on refrigerators, washers, dishwashers, heaters and other appliances, the report said.
Customers are required to buy the appliance and redeem their reserved rebate within three days of making a reservation. Documentation of the purchase should be mailed in within 30 days of the transaction, while the state said rebate checks will be mailed eight to 10 weeks later, Business First reported.
