I am pleased to have the opportunity to recommend Nixco Plumbing for the Torch Award.  As the Director of Preconstruction Services, I’ve worked alongside  Jeff Heger and the Nixco Plumbing team on numerous, major projects.  We have had a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the company for the past 15 years.

At Unit Building Services, we offer design-build services for projects ranging in size from 15,000 sq. ft. to 150,000 sq. ft., so project management is critical component of our business.  As such, we seek to build long standing relationships with the subcontractors we know we can trust to deliver.  We’ve come to rely on Nixco’s standard of excellence to keep our projects  in scope, on time and within budget.

Nixco Plumbing’s broad-range expertise, attention to detail, uncompromising service standards and ability to meet even the most stringent deadlines is behind the successful execution of many construction projects in the region.  For example, we recently completed construction on the Montgomery Triangle Gateway Development Project, which was honored by the Ohio Valley Chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America.

The building is situated as the main focal point of the entrance to the Heritage District of Montgomery, so during each phase of the construction, we had to meet strict guidelines established by Montgomery’s Landmark Commission.  Throughout the process, our subcontractors had to exercise a great degree of  flexibility to overcome a diverse range of challenges.  Nixco’s integrity and demonstrated agility in dealing with changing guidelines and unknown variables was commendable.  As always, the depth of their commitment to service and quality played a key role in our success.
